Our Travel Action Group has been unable to hold meetings in recent months due to coronavirus restrictions, but we have been keeping in touch in other ways. We’ve contributed to a round table on active travel. See the Travel section of our website for more about our activities and ways to get involved.
On Saturday 23rd November 2019 at Tavistock’s Butchers Hall. Come and talk to us at our stall (near the cafe area) between 10am and 3pm, and join in a discussion on sustainable travel we’re leading in the cafe at 11am.
Our partners Tamar Energy Community have assembled a rich mix of other stalls and will be showcasing their varied local projects on saving and generating energy. Details here.
Over the past year we’ve been highlighting sustainable transport as important for clean air, healthy living and the climate at our regular events and stalls. We have started a Transition Tavistock working group to bring together people interested in promoting this.
If you think it should be easier for us to choose to walk, cycle, use public transport or run a car that doesn’t pollute, get involved.
Next meeting Thursday 5th March 2020 at 7.30pm in the Anchorage Centre. More information on what we’re working on and how you can help here.
